Before Motorola could officially launch the company's new Moto G6 series, the company's in-house product document has slipped out into the Internet revealing the key specification of low-end G6 Play version.

Android Headline, which claims to have the exclusive access to the product document, has detailed that the Moto G6 Play will come with a 4,000mAh battery, 33% bigger capacity than the standard Moto G6 (3,000mAh) and the high-end Moto G6 Plus (3,200mAh).

With such a huge cell, Moto G6 Play is capable of running for close to 36 hours. Also, the company in a bid save consumer's time will be bundling 10W Turbocharger as part of the product package. With this, users can quickly charge up at least half the battery capacity within just a few minutes during the early morning rush.

The document also revealed another surprise feature of the Moto G6 Play. It is said to come with 5.7-inch HD+ (1440x720p) screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. Previously, it was rumored that Motorola in a bid to differentiate Play version from the standard G6, would keep the former's screen with old aspect ratio standard.

If this is true, Moto G6 Play with a big battery and latest display standard will definitely have more appeal, not just among consumers on shoestring budget, but also those who are looking for a good secondary companion phone.

Other stipulated features of Moto G6 Play include 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 quad-core CPU, a 12MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper.

As said before, Motorola, in addition to the Moto G6 Play will be launching Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Plus.

Moto G6:

It is expected to sport a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display and feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, 3GB/4GB RAM and a 32GB/64GB internal memory (with microSD card slot), a dual 12MP + 5MP primary camera setup and a 16MP front-facing camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

Inside, it will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, a 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and a 32GB/64GB storage, a dual 12MP + 5MP main shooter, a 16MP front-camera and a 3,200mAh battery.

Motorola has confirmed to host a product launch event later this month and we believe, like previous years, Moto G series, in this case, G6 models will break covers before Moto E and Z series.

A Jodhpur court on Thursday will pronounce its verdict in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case against Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Tabu. While Salman has been accused of killing two blackbucks in September, 1998 in Kankani village, Jodhpur, during the shooting of “Hum Saath Saath Hain”, the remaining four stand co-accused in the case.

What is the Kankani black buck shooting case all about?

A complaint was registered by the Bishnoi community of Rajasthan on October 2 that year against the actors, who allegedly hunted down two blackbucks during the filming of the movie. According to the complaint, Salman Khan is accused of killing two black bucks in Bhagoda ki Dhani near Jodhpur on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998. He was also charged for possessing a weapon with an expired license.

"Every one of them were in a Gypsy auto that night, with Salman Khan in the driving seat. He, on detecting a group of dark bucks, shot at and executed two of them," open prosecutor Bhawani Singh Bhati had said. "In any case, on being spotted and pursued, they fled from the spot leaving the dead creatures there," he stated, including that there was satisfactory proof against them.

Who all are the accused?

Besides the actors — Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Tabu — the case involves two more accused, Dushyant Singh, who was allegedly accompanying the actors when the poaching took place, and Dinesh Gawre, said to be Salman Khan’s assistant.

What are the charges they face?

Salman Khan is facing charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the other actors have been charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code. Under Section 51, enforcement can be performed by agencies such as the Forest Department, the Police, the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB), the Customs and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Chargesheets can be filed directly by the Forest Department.

While Salman was released on bail on October 17 the same year, he was later held guilty by a trial court in 2006. He was charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and was sentenced to five years jail term. He was also asked to pay a fine of Rs 25,000. While the actor spent six days in jail, the sentence was suspended by the Rajasthan High Court.

The final arguments in the case were completed in the trial court on March 28 this year, following which Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri reserved the judgment for today. During the final arguments, the prosecution counsel had described the spot of alleged poaching, citing the statements of witnesses Poonam Chand and Chhoga Ram and the post-mortem report.

However, while submitting his arguments, Khan’s counsel H M Saraswat ran the video recording of the statements of Poonam Chand and drew the attention of the court to the “contradiction” in his statements taken by the investigating officer and the statements given by the witness.

“Videography of the statements of Poonam Chand clearly showed that the official noting the statements had been copying them from a paper lying on the table beside him,” argued Saraswat.

Salman was earlier acquitted in two poaching cases by the high court and in a case under Arms Act by the lower court. The actor later appeared in the district and sessions court for filing bail bonds after the state challenged his acquittal in the case under Arms Act.

If found guilty, Salman is likely to receive a maximum punishment of six years under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act.

What are the other poaching cases against the actor?

The actor was also charged with two other poaching cases of Chinkara deer and blackbuck in Bhawad village and Mathania village respectively. He was acquitted in both the cases. However, the verdict in the Chinkara deer case was challenged by the Rajasthan government in the Supreme Court following which the actor was issued notice. The matter is currently pending with the top court.

How does it feel to be tagged as an action hero?
I feel blessed because I’ve got some sort of an identity this early in my career. When people think of Tiger, there’s a certain thing that comes to their minds. For me, I feel like I’ve made some sort of a mark. And that’s a great feeling. I don’t think there are many in this space, this genre right now. Action heroes are mass heroes. They sort of connect with a wider range of people. Subconsciously, I’ve always wanted to be an action hero. As far as tags go, I’m only four films old. If I’m typecast, I have sort of made a mark that people identify me with something in the industry. So that’s not a problem. I’m proud to be tagged as an action hero or a dancing star. 

But it’s a scary thing to perform your own stunts. Do you rely on body doubles for the dangerous sequences? 
I never use body doubles, because these stunt men are risking their lives, and barely get the respect they deserve in return. It’s very sad when you see a stunt man put his life on the line. They’re not well paid in the industry, and they put their bodies at risk. I can imagine what their families must be going through. So, I do all stunts by myself. I don’t want to steal their credit, else they should be in the movie instead of me. That’s my way.

I wanted to start some action or stunt awards, but I don’t know where to begin and how to go about it. But I will do it, just to give them the recognition, as they’re the hardest working people in our industry. 

Your last movie Munna Michael didn’t do too well. How did you deal with its failure? 
I was very, very upset, because I had put in a lot of effort. Many say people appreciate my dancing, so I thought they would definitely be attracted and come watch me. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as we had planned. I don’t want to blame anybody; I blame myself for the mistake, and hope I’ll bounce back with Baaghi 2.  I started off on a high with Heropanti and Baaghi, which did well. But after A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael didn’t work, it really hit me, and I felt I’m on a shaky ground. I better stage a comeback, I thought to myself. 

A lot has been written about your Baaghi 2 co-star Disha Patani and you. And you both do seem very comfortable with each other…
Yes, we do share the comfort factor, and acting together is very easy for us. It felt natural doing romantic scenes with Disha. Doing any sort of a scene is fun because we’re both good friends and we get along. Not to mention the fact that we want this to work badly. Both of us are hungry, so it was organic. 

When you first started off, there was a constant comparison between you and your dad Jackie Shroff. How difficult was it for you to build your own identity? 
I thought it would be very difficult, because my father has been a very big star, and has a huge presence in the industry. But because I was different from the time my very first look came out, the comparisons never happened. I’m thankful that nobody is comparing me to my father, because that’s one I can’t win. I purposely showed my skills, identity, and chose different movies than my father did in the past. 

Would you share screen space with him someday? 
I would end up being overshadowed by his presence and aura! He has such a strong presence to him, that when he walks into a party, all heads turn to look at him. He has that effect; he was born that way and is lucky. Guys like me have to work hard to get that acceptance and appreciation. 

Sajid Nadiadwala has been a mentor to you from day one. Does it get difficult to say no to him? 
There’s no reason for me to say no to Sajid. He knows me in and out, and launched me. Prior to that, we’ve had so many conversations. The only time I wanted to say no to him was when he wanted me to cut my hair for this film (laughs)! I was very connected with my hair, but he said ‘You need to reinvent yourself and it’s time to change your look. Always experiment as an actor.’  I just went ahead with it, and people have unanimously appreciated it.

Family Time With Kapil Sharma first impression: Thumbs up for the game show, thumbs down for comedy

The same repetitive and stale jokes targeted at the cast and members of the audience made for a major part of Family Time With Kapil Sharma and Navjot Singh Sidhu's "Chaa Gaya Guru" on these, looked forced and completely unnecessary.

On Sunday morning, as the teaser of Kapil Sharma’s new show Family Time With Kapil Sharma played on television, my parents asked me to remind them of it in the evening. Not just my home, I believe this would have been the scenario of every household where watching Kapil’s comedy shows has been a family ritual on the weekends. After his last small screen outing, The Kapil Sharma Show went off air following an unpleasant course of events. Many fans of Kapil were left disheartened. But the ‘King Of Comedy’ promised to return with a bigger and a better show.

Keeping his words, he was back but unlike what he has been. The laughter that came along with Kapil didn’t make me laugh as hard as it did in the last few years. The same repetitive and stale jokes targeted at his teammates and the members of the audience made for a major part of Kapil’s repartee and Navjot Singh Sidhu’s “Chaa Gaya Guru” on these, looked forced and completely unnecessary. His two team members Chandan Prabhakar and Kiku Sharda too didn’t have anything new to put on the table. Kiku once again slipped into a female character (Bumper) to provide laughs but failed miserably. Chandan was as decent as always but the narrative didn’t have much for him to do. Though Kapil had the maximum screen time, still him relying on the same ingredients of sexism and racism and parroting the same old jokes that were no longer funny. It took away the excitement of watching the show beyond a point.

Also, the trademark of Kapil’s shows, the celebrities and their leg-pulling by the comedian was missing. Ajay Devgn who was there to promote his film Raid had a miss and blink appearance of sorts. Just when Ajay and Kapil’s funny banter was picking up the pace of the otherwise dull show, it was time for Devgn to leave. The new addition to the team Neha Pendse, who co-hosts the show, added nothing more than glamour and was not saved from Kapil’s generous flirting which he has been doing from his first show, Comedy Nights With Kapil, the only difference being that this time he has a real woman to flirt with.

But yes, if you look at the show as a ‘game show’ (as Kapil addresses it) and not a ‘comedy show’, then definitely Family Time With Kapil Sharma is a reason to return to your television sets. His show is the one that brings back the fond memories of game shows like Khulja Sim Sim (hosted by Aman Yatan Varma) and Takeshi’s Castle which every Indian kid grew up watching. The gifts on the show make you look up the internet to know ‘how to participate in Kapil Sharma show’. If not the television audience, at least the studio audience was in for a gala time as they played a string of interactive games with Kapil.
